What stories have you heard that have transformed your life? This is a fundamental question underlying the StoryCorps project. With the mission “to preserve and share humanity’s stories in order to build connections between people and create a more just and compassionate world,” the project invites people from all over the United States to share their stories.
Telling our stories and having them heard can be life-changing. However, listening to these stories can also be a “catalyst for change,” asserts Tramaine Chelan’gat Hugie, the former director of community engagement at StoryCorps.
