Language Policy and Peacebuilding: Alliance for Peacebuilding

“Across the world, nations and societies are in crisis. Threats to peace and security proliferate, and solutions are elusive. At the center of both the problem and the solution are matters of language. A person’s language is a defining factor in social and cultural identity. This is true within and between groups. Language policy guiding both language use and language choice can be pivotal in both crisis and crisis resolution.”

For those in the Washington D.C. area, Language Policy and Peacebuilding hosted by Alliance for Peacebuilding is an exciting event happening February 23, 2015 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. If you attend, please leave a note in the comment section or on the contact us page with your thoughts on the event!
